ANALYSIS OF THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM

Today I want to talk you about the importance of a good electrical submersible cable junction.

In this installation, the customer complained  the constant tripping of the circuit breaker and the gardener told him that the problem was the damaged well pump, so the customer asked us a quotation for a brand new pump.

A real expert, before installing a new pump, have to analyze the situation so, we executed an electrical test on the well pump, and the test told us the pump was ok, so we told to the customer, the problem was in the electrical cable, joined in a bad way somewhere.

The gardener obviously continued to claim IMPOSSIBLE! But following the cable, we discovered a lot of  very bad junctions made with the electrical tape.

 

It’s typical underestimate the importance of a good electrical connection, especially if the connection stay out of the water, especially in a place like COSTA DEL SOL, where we have just a few rainy days… but in that few days, when it rains, the box where the gardener put the “basic” cable connection, can get flooded, and the electrical system can short to ground.

We just had to replace cable and make some good cable junctions to solve the problem, this way, the customer saved a lot of money and problems.

Never underestimate the importance of a good cable junction!
