Fixing a Saci Vort 10 m aut pump
The customer called us because the pump didn’t start.
We brought the pump at the workshop and started the tests.
First thing we notice opening the upper cover is the broken capacitor

We passed to the electrical test of the pump. Electrical test ok.
We tried to put a new capacitor. The pump started but we noticed a lot of noise from the ball bearings.
We called the customer and proposed him to make a complete check up of the pump and the customer accepted proposal and quotation.
Dismounting the pump:
We changed the old ball bearings for a new high quality ones:
Then we had to solve the mechanical seal issue.
The pump has a special mechanical seal silicium/silicium, very tough material, we decided to clean the mechanical seal and execute a water test. We put a pressure of 1,5 Bar inside of the pump, this way we can check if mechanical seal and O-rings are ok. You can see the video.
Water test:
After the water test, we refilled the mechanical seal chamber with oil, and the work was complete.
