Today we analyze a case of sand filter water leak.
We see every month many situation like this, here in Costa del Sol.
The owner doesn’t know about the water leak, the gardener don’t see the leak because of the white color of the filter.
The pool maintainer see the problem but don’t report it because he wants no problems.
When somebody eventually see the problem, immediately suggests the owner to change the filter and pay 700EUR.
Nobody wants/can find a cheap solution.
Nobody but Head PUMPS.
Dismounting the upper cover we discovered that someone already tried to fix the problem but:
they tried with the wrong Oring and the wrong means.
The sand filter was not the typical you can find on the spanish market, so the people who tried to solve the water leak, used all the unprofessional means possible:
wrong O-ring, teflon, silicone sealant…
We just check the original spare part, and went to a specialized O-ring seller in Malaga.
Problem solved, money saved, customer satisfied. Next.
